This is good project! I'm a student and I known it! I think that online education is more effective than at the university. The mojority of my knowledge I got from Internet. But it is my mind. Russian education is not perfect.

I started learning the Java programming however the videos are not in English

The fact that some1 has a Master's or Phd in something does not mean that they can teach. It only means that they learned enough for THEM to pass the courses and please their professors. I have hired teachers who didn't have college degrees but they were expert at what they were hired to teach and did an excellent job. In 10 years of college the only thing I saw that was really effective, was the discipline students are forced to have because of the huge financial debt they will have later.

I have 10 years of college, 3 college degrees, and 5 Computer Certifications and I am not impressed in the least with American university education. It is a farce. I taught in universities in Latin America and in the US for 23 years. In the US, we had black students who couldn't read above about the 5th grade level. We were told that if we didn't pass them that our adjunct faculty teaching contracts would not be renewed. I had 16 "students" fail a final exam out of only 21 students.

There is only one reason why a student needs to go to a college or university in the US or any other country today - to get a stupid diploma that is recognized by the DOE or other agency and to satisfy HR depts. that don't want to bother evaluating the real world skills of their applicants. Any student could learn the same things online, in any technologically developed country, without spending the fortune it costs to get an irrelevant education today.
