The shots of the surrounding icy lands are breathtaking. I always appreciate movies like this cause it couldn't have been easy to shoot.

I love that Nikolaj co-wrote this, knowing how much he loves Greenland (His wife is also from there). So you just know he put his heart and soul into this!

I can already see myself becoming more emotionally attached to the sled dogs vs. the two main characters...and it doesn't look like the dogs are making it back 🥲

this movie is ultra exhausting on the mind -- that is if you let yourself receive the story the way it was meant to be told. It'll purposefully slows down its tempo a tiny bit but that intent is to psychologically challenge you and draw you in. As for the landscape, it's breathtaking and I really think they got the instability of the ice while traveling down. Our instincts in survival mode are very profound and intimate -- and this also plays out well in the movie. And yeah, at points, it's quite maddening to watch some of the tradeoff's in critical decision making -- though that's the movie's power in leveraging these points. They close the loop on the many moving parts -- and this frankly adds to the immersion factor. Seriously, if you watch it, try to imagine yourself in a similar situation knowing the time, the technical barriers and the culture of the early 1900s. You might learn something about yourself and appreciate our ancestors for their intestinal fortitude that shaped our lives today.
