On Sunday, August 27 at 9:16 a.m. ET, SpaceX’s Dragon autonomously docked with the International Space Station. Almost 30 hours earlier at 3:27 a.m. ET, Falcon 9 launched the spacecraft and Crew-7 to orbit from Launch Complex 39A (LC-39A) at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

During their time on the orbiting laboratory, the crew will conduct science and technology demonstrations to prepare for human exploration beyond low-Earth orbit and to benefit humanity on Earth.

Hard work for crew 7. Long time off earth. Admire their courage and dedication. Jealous honestly. Thanks Elon and Spacex team.

The approach is numbingly slow, but quoting Broncos Guru on boating, "Never approach something faster than you want to hit it."

Wonderful work everybody. Seems to becoming routine like taking a plane to far off countries. In a few years, I hope Starships will be blasting off and landing as routinely as Falcon 9 with Cargo and Crew Dragons today. Lotsa love to all ❤❤❤

How impressive to follow the docking procedure live on here, trying to reflect what we see and hear 😁I like to express what a magnificent art of precise technology! On top awesome moderation of the Space Ladies 👌😍, thx for sharing it on here and explaining everything to us. Greets from Germany 🇩🇪 so incredible !

So strange that we had no video from the lab to the crew cabin during the final moments.

To think that the guy tweeting memes on Twitter every hour made all this possible

Adding ambient sound from inside the capsule you’re already streaming video from would add a lot to the immersive effect the interior and exterior docking sequences.

It would also allow the broadcast to require fewer superfluous comments from the stream “hosts”.

The first space docking I remember following was a Gemini-Agena mission.

Just to be precise, the 9 Merlin 1D engines were ignited at 03:44 not 03:27 as Jessie stated. Seconds count in landing ship to ship.

All this at 17, 300mph no space debris a perfectly stationary ISS waiting and no chase needed. It’s amazing what one can achieve these days

NASA needs to install a Starlink receiver on the ISS already, ever since TDRS-9 deorbited the handovers have been unbearably long and boring, so glad the onboard Dragon camera was there to show docking
