Whitney hit the higher registry, but didn't even come close to the power Sydnie has in her vocals. Many mention Shirley Bassey, Judy Garland I even heard one mention of Eva Cassidy [whom I adore, even though she is gone]. Who comes to mind first, for me, as far as raw power goes, is Ethel Merman. Flame away, but Ethel could knock a wall down with her voice. I didn't care too much for her tonal quality, but Sydnie has that punch and a beautiful range and quality - and lots of it.
