In this Minecraft video, I will be taking a look at the Minecraft Aether Mod! This Minecraft Mod Review will take a look at the Aether Mod from it's creation in 2011 to where it is at currently. This Aether Mod Review goes over the basics of the mod, to additional mods that can be added on such as Aether: Lost Content, Paradise Reborn or Aether Continuation. The Minecraft Aether Dimension is a fantastic dimension added in by the Aether Minecraft mod. Currently, the Aether II Highlands Update is the most recent version. The Aether 2 Highlands is the biggest step this mod has made however it lacks important features. For example, Aether 2 Highlands dungeons don't exist and neither do Aether 2 Highlands bosses. Unfortunately this mod is not fully developed although it looks amazing.

The Aether is Iconic, and I still play it in 1.12 every once in a while. I honestly think that updates to Aether 1 would have been better than what they decided to do with Aether 2

Aether 2 is great, but one of the main things that made Aether 1 so great, was that it felt like it could fit into vanilla during a time period where modding the game was absolutely everywhere. Aether 2 with its dialogue, complex models and pixel art, while objectively being higher quality, just doesn't feel like minecraft to me. it doesn't mesh together.

Glad you mention the add-ons and other Aether themed mods.

For the record, Aehter 2 IS BEING worked on in the background. They post daily updates quite often on their discord server. They are also working on stuff like legacy aether as well, and trying to port aether 2 to current modern MC (which is hard)
