Fairmont Hotel Vancouver DETAILED REVIEW

A review of our recent stay in a renovated 2 queen bed room at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver. Often informally called the Hotel Vancouver, this is is a historic hotel in Vancouver, British Columbia. Located along West Georgia Street the hotel is situated within the city's Financial District, in Downtown Vancouver. Hotel Vancouver is one of Canada's grand railway hotels, initially built by Canadian National Railway and completed in 1939.

Hotel Vancouver is iconic landmark of downtown Vancouver

My favourite local hotels as a Vancouverite is Fairmont Waterfront, Westin Bayshore or Opus in Yaletown. Fairmont does have gorgeous lobby washrooms.

Thank you for the honest review! We always stayed across from it at the Four Seasons which was extremely nice with a huge indoor/outdoor pool. Sadly it closed and they didn’t open a new one. Two things about this Fairmont…. The spa used to be very good and there is a ghost in the hotel - just ask the staff - they know.

Hi Chris. Love the classic look of the exterior of the hotel and the modern feel of the interior. Nice comfortable room, but the bathroom is really small. Thanks for sharing and take care.

The Gold room & services at the Hotel Vancouver are awesome! So much room, HUGE bathroom, and outstanding concierge services. And the separate check in was great. Check it out next time. :)

Nice video. The hotel's interior and outside both have a contemporary air that I love. Nice, cozy room, however the bathroom is rather tiny. Regards and thanks for sharing. 👍

I agree that the bathroom looked quite small. I'm usually not too happy when I can't fit all of my toiletries in the sink area. I really liked that the Spunky Princess got to state the Topher ranking for the hotel!

I work as a travel agent and this hotel is one of 3 principals hotels that are sold with luxury cruises alongside The Sutton Place and Fairmont Waterfront.

Thanks for this! I was thinking the Fairmont was probably very fancy. Glad we were able to stay at the Hyatt on points instead. Still no breakfast buffet, by the way.

Spunky Princess made this review. Spunky Princess is just adorable. I love the dual shower heads. I wish hand held shower heads were a little more commonolace in residential and hotel bathrooms.

Regardless of why you are staying there, you MUST visit nearby Butchart Gardens! There are buses that stop in front of the Fairmont and will take you directly there. How good is it? I don't like taking photos, but there I took roughly 100 photos!!

Hey Mr. Rainey. Do you think you’ll ever do a review on the YWCA Hotel in Vancouver? I heard it’s a pretty decent budget hotel in downtown Vancouver. But, I would love to hear your thoughts about it.
