The border between the Pacific and Atlantic oceans is like a line between 2 worlds. It looks as if the two oceans meet at an invisible wall which does not let them flow into each other and mix their waters.
Why on Earth does it happen? We know for sure there is no invisible wall inside, and water is water. So what could interfere with its mixing?

In the Gulf of Alaska two oceans come together but the water does not mix. There are two verse in Surah Ar-Rahman in Holy Quran 55:19, 55:20 that says that: 55:19 He released the two seas, meeting [side by side]; 55:20 Between them is a barrier [so] neither of them transgresses.

For people wondering the actual reason it’s because the water of both oceans have different densities, salinities and temperature. This occurs at the gulf of Alaska where the Pacific Ocean meets the water from the melting polar ice caps. The water from the pacific is filled with iron and other sediment while the water from the ice caps are much colder and clearer.
