i wish it was more socially acceptable to sit in silence. when i get my hair cut i feel bad that i’m not very talkative, if at all, but it’s so relaxing when i don’t have to talk or think. the ambience of the salon, my hair being brushed/cut/tugged, the asmr of the stylist themselves… its all so good.

i wish i had a friend that did asmr videos or just asmr in general. my boyfriend will scratch my head sometimes but y’all know that don’t last long. but when he does, you definitely feel the stress leave your body and i bet if he continued for an hour or so, i’d be a totally different person after!! <3
for now i will stick to watching videos like this tho. so relaxing!

When I was a kid I had really long, thick hair and whenever my mom brushed it I would nearly fall asleep because it felt so good and relaxed me so much.

Not even 5 minutes in and I’m trying not to fall asleep I want to see and hear the jade comb as it’s my favourite but not sure if I’ll be asleep. This is bliss. Thank you great for when I can’t sleep

Separate personal note:
I had hair to my waist like the above girl, in color n' texture...a lot of hair that took years to grow and then really, took care of it!
Pride in my hair. Till not long ago "long story short' ..I was in a coma for 6 weeks from a bad epileptic seizure and not eating.
I did come out of the coma thankfully BUT the ICU nurse's NEVER brushed or washed my hair the entire time which was too horrifically, knotted to brush out!
My friend is the absolute best at cutting n' coloring-owing her own studio ..Melanie even came to the hospital to wash and brush it out for me once I 'woke' from the coma and was going to spent 2 hours trying! God bless her!
I didn't want to be more problem and just begged her cut it off!!! Which she gave such a great short hair cut I loved, actually! :)
My point of this rambling is to let other ladies know!
tell family n friends if a situation ever happens to you or them....do them and yourself a favor telling them to care for your hair once in a while?!
Not sure why my nurse's didn't? When I worked in ICU our patients got bathed and washed every dang day!
At least once a day if not even every 12 hours/shifts equaling 2xs a day . Ty for video
