The irony and hypocrisy is so thick and deep you couldn’t walk thru it with boots made of Crisco.

What is sad is that what ever black woman he appoints will always be seen as a token. How degrading.

How about nominating the most qualified person regardless of race/gender. Doesn't matter what others have done in the past, pick the most qualified! What a joke.

Going down memory lane....
Janice Rogers Brown was nominated by George W. Bush for justice of the Supreme Court, that would have made her the first African American woman to hold that title.
Her nomination to the Court of Appeals was stalled for nearly two years as part of Democratic opposition to appointments made by George W. Bush.
Senator Barack Obama strongly opposed her nomination in a speech on the floor of the U.S. Senate.
Joe Biden, champion of civil rights and the president who has gloried in naming the first minorities to several positions in his administration, filibustered against her nomination and voted twice against her. When Biden had the chance to vote for a black woman, he declined.

Last time I checked, HIRING ON THE BASIS OF SKIN COLOR AND GENDER *IS UNCONSTITUTIONAL*
But then, "Democrats" and "Constitution" rarely go together

Statistically, Blacks would be overrepresented on the court if another Black was appointed. Not sure why Biden feels like he has to nominate another Black person. What kind of world does he live in? How about an Asian judge instead?

Biden is the best thing that happened to the USA next to the Great Depression.

In 1963, a great republican said “I have a dream that one day we will live in a land where people are judged by the content of their character, rather than the color of their skin”

It would be nice if they represented the constitution instead of a certain group of people.

Everyone's 'Eye Wide Open' We know what you are Joe Biden, we know what you did and what you're still doing, and frankly have always done. Now, lets see if the Americans patriots have the mettle to do what is just, and retire YOU and ALL YOUR KIND from Congress to the WH in 2022 and 2024.

The difference is, Reagan and Trump both had a specific woman in mind, not choosing simply on the basis of sex and color.

I have just one question:
Who let this man pick a Supreme Court nominee after all he's done?

I'd rather be offered a job based on my qualifications, not my skin color.

It's illegal and racist, shows he doesn't know where he's at or which way is up

I know Biden is intellectually compormised but isn't saying he's going to nominate a black female racist and divisive? What about Asians, Native Americans, disabled veterans who are qualified?

I'm all for him nominating a black woman. The problem is, when they announce the 2 primary requirements for the job are how much pigment is in their skin and what is between their legs, its hard to not view this as a diversity hire. He should have kept his mouth shut and nominated a black woman.

It wasn't right when Reagan did it or Trump.

These politicians are so out of touch with the American people. The most fit for the job should always get the job. Simple as that. Sure, it would be cool if a black woman got the job, but not if someone else who is not a black woman could do better and wasn’t selected because of their skin color or race.

its not only republicans.. lol... MOST citizens want the best PERSON for the job! its racist to add race to any job or position... in this case, the person must understand the constitution and to who it yields all the power to...
