I’m trying to start a conversation in a lesbian group, where we now have trans women joining. I feel so strongly about the nonsense that is happening, you are right to tell people to speak up. I know I will be thrown out of the group, if I say too much but when I see the brave people you interview, I’m not sure I care about the group very much, my self respect & respect for women & anyone being put through such awful abuse & losing their careers is more important. As you say, if we all became braver, we could change this madness.

I was attacked verbally and physically at the University of Pittsburgh for disagreeing with students. They said we have 90+ genders. I told them we have two. They lost their minds and complained. I was not offered a teaching contract the next year.

It’s so embarrassing how much time and energy they spend lobbying at telling others they must accept and celebrate their trans identity, but when we respond to their demands with an explanation as to why we refuse to play along, they always come back with “why are you obsessed with trans people”, or “we just want to live and be left alone”. It’s one of the biggest gaslighting campaigns of our time.

There are only 2 concepts: 1) Biology (Man or woman). 2) Individual stereotypes (aka "social constructs") that a person chooses (Clothing, hairstyles, personality etc). The stereotypes that you choose do not change whether you are a man or woman.
