'Why Won't Lifelong Tories Vote Conservative Again?'

Boris Johnson reportedly expects Rishi Sunak to give him a personal call if he wants help with campaigning in the upcoming general election, according to The Telegraph.

Even though there was a fallout between the two in 2023 over Johnson's honours list, Conservative strategists are considering deploying the former prime minister for campaigning later this year.

As of now, Johnson has not been formally approached for campaign assistance, but a source close to him suggests that if the Conservatives want his involvement, they should expect a direct call from Sunak. Whether Johnson would agree to such a request remains unclear.

A recent focus group in Wellingborough indicated why senior Tories might seek Johnson's help. Participants, all of whom supported the Tories under Johnson in 2019, unfavorably compared Sunak to his predecessor. While Sunak was called a "showbusiness man," Johnson was praised for his charisma and ability to "talk to the people."

Dr David Bull and Dr Renee Hoenderkamp speak with politics and international student Jack Billyard and campaign and commentator Katharine Henderson.

Rishi wasn't wanted but was put in via the back door. Then he brings Cameron the guy who took his ball home when he was on the losing side. He hasn't got a clue on what the public want

Nothing Johnson could do would make me a lifelong Tory voter would make me vote Tory again . There needs to be massive change in the structure of the party to get people to vote for them again . Reform for me. If labour get in the flood gates to the illegals and the Brit being a minority in their own country .

It doesn't matter what any party tries to do because if the civil servants don't like it they won't let them push it through.

They have lost my Conservative vote for ever. Not even Boris coming back would sway me. He was the guy who failed to see through the Brexit decision OF THE PEOPLE . Failing to see through the WILL of the PEOPLES vote was and is their downfall. Good riddance. NEVER AGAIN.

Things would be far far worse under Labour. The GB public need to think long and hard.

Voting for labour is not what I’d call voting tactically, I’d call it stupidity.

I'd rather be dead in a ditch than vote Tory, Sunak has truly let the people down, and he's continues to do so, he hasn't showed any leadership, very poor bye Tories, good bye

I couldn't care less if that oaf Johnson helps out as I will never vote Conservative again, after being a lifelong Tory voter. I will vote for the party that commits to take us out of the ECHR straight away. This illegal immigrant mess has to be stopped
