Sudiksha Konanki: Search continues for missing American woman | FOX 10 Phoenix

Authorities in the Dominican Republic and the United States are searching for missing woman, Sudiksha Konanki, 20, who disappeared while on a trip to Punta Cana.

The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office confirmed Konanki was last seen around 4:50 a.m. on March 6 on the beach at the RIU Republica Resort in Punta Cana. She is described as 5 feet 4 inches tall with black hair and brown eyes.

At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing a brown two-piece bikini, large round earrings, a metal designer anklet on her right leg, yellow and steel bracelets on her right hand, and a multicolored beaded bracelet on her left hand.

A spokesperson for the sheriff’s office said that they were contacted Thursday evening about concerns regarding the missing Loudoun County woman. Officials immediately followed up with federal law enforcement, the State Department, and contacts in the Dominican Republic to investigate.

imo no nice guy is going to approach a drunk girl, that guy approached her specifically because he saw she is vulnerable. and then when a predatory man gets alone with a woman, and her friends also left, does he want to do something innocent such as ‘just swimming’ or ‘just hanging out’, I doubt it. He would be trying to get what he was after. So in my opinion, he raped her and then drowned her in the ocean. It’s possible she drowned on her own but who knows. This was a strange man who approached a drunk girl, this was not her boyfriend or classmate or friend or anyone like that. What kind of man approaches a drunk girl? A predatory one. He did not approach her to ‘just swim’. This is all just my theory. In college I never got drunk or went to parties or got into bed with stranger men, I don’t know why girls tolerate such things. They should stop focusing media attention on her because they’re likely not gonna find her it’s been 11 days & she went missing in the ocean. They should focus on someone who might actually have a chance at being found

This is the story: 4 young college girls decide to come to the Dominican Republic to vacation at the Riu Hotel, Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. There they meet two young American men. The girls go to the beach at 4:30 am with the two Americans. Two of the girls hug them, and according to the videos, two of them are hooking up with the men. The others say that when they saw the young Indu kissing the boy, they left them alone and returned to the hotel.

The man named Joshua says that they both went to the beach, that he was very drunk, that a wave hit him hard and he drank water, that he went out to the shore, vomited, saw her in the sea, with the water up to her knees, and that he fell asleep. That he woke up at 8:52 am and not seeing her, he assumed that she went to the hotel and returned to her room to sleep.

Her young friends assumed that she spent the night with him in his room, and went on a tour of the hotel, and returned at 4 pm, and not hearing from her, reported her missing.

On the cameras, Joshua is seen returning at 8:52 am, alone, without a shirt, without shoes, and with a very irritated chest. You can't blame the country. Shame on that young woman, but everything points to a crime.
