IdK but somethin' I read/heard Recently that spoke very matter of factly on the subject stated without hesitation that it Was in fact an Orsini... I may be mistaken but upon a quick search of living members of the Orsini line... I wanna say it was Pepe Orsini that was claimed to be the Grey Pope... Now whether this was Fact, Fiction or someone's theoretical sluething is beyond me, however again it was stated as though it were a matter of public record! And I wasn't even aware of a Grey Pope until stumbling upon the statement in question!
