What if you 4jj1 swapped the delica, it’s already a 4 cylinder diesel so why not, would be an epic build that has been done and there’s no rush

A good mate of mine blew up 3 of those 4m40s in his delica until he got sick of replacing them and then went with a 1uz swap. 1uz bell housing bolts straight up to factory auto. Goes very well. Best thing he ever did he reckons. Was his daily for years and now got a work truck but still gets up and down the country in it.

tbh the enjoyment I would get from building a car with yous and then to go on a trip an hang with same minded people is more then enough, you'd nearly donate the nav back to Sam at bnb and thank him for a once off experience

Sorry to hear about the delica. The delica was/is sick build. I would take the nav to the Clarence river then to Moreton, Fraser, Five rocks, crab track up to Weipa and the tip. Then across to Matt Wrights park in the NT and finish up around Kunnarra.

Just bought a tee! So bummed out about what happened to the Delica but I'm super pumped about the nav build also! Fingers crossed, I know our two young tackers will love it!!

should do a sam special, either try to shove something like a v6 coommodore mang motor in there that likely wont fit without major surgery, or maybe chop the body in half & convert the rear section into a dedicated offroad camping trailer/caravan type setup. then you can tow half the original delica behind its replacement

It does not take a great deal of creativity to destructively send of the Deleaka. But it does to do something useful & cost effective with it that adds value & respect to what it is & what you have done with it up to this point. & would that not be the greater challenge? Perhaps even raffle it of for a worth while charity?

Currently on a Cape York trip from Melbourne in my Delica! Will be selling it when I get home to buy a family car. If I won the Navara I could keep the Delica and take it on heaps more trips to prove what beasts these mum busses are!
Then daily the Nav!

Used to own a D23, surprisingly very capable, very reliable besides some minor stuff and comfy for touring.

Save a part of Delica as a memento and hang it along the walls of your workshop. A part like one of the sliding doors or something (that has the "The Leaky Delica" graphics etc), or the steering wheel.

I'll take it where the tyre meets the track. I've had the family tourer off the road for a year, trying to get it set up as an unstoppable tourer. The tb48 wagon would be on the back-burner if I won this giveaway, I'd be too busy driving it

Hey Sam. Big fan. I was at Rocky Nat's and seen that there was a heap of patrol that had your little description sheet for your patrol but didn't see it there did see your 80 and your drift car though for the first time. I reckon do something wild to send the Delica off.

Put a 4 cilda cumins in it with big turbo and all of that or a built sr20 in the delica
