Have you tried freezing water in a zip lock bag? This way you have blocks of ice you can reuse and dont have to worry about it when they melt. Or you can also use ice packs...same concept. I saw it on a couple other videos when they made a Hydrosol. Making Hydrosols is new to me. I have been researching methods & recipes that can be done at home without special equipment.

I just bought dried rose petals today and will try this. May I ask, is using the water the petals are simmered in either less effective or too strong to use on my skin?

Okay so im going a little crazy here and making way too many of you recipes... Anyway... Can you spray this directly on your skin? I wanna make a face mist. I have fresh roses and lilacs. Could i make a mix of those two and use this process?

It seems to me that the water in left in the pan would be the rosewater to save.
