My theory ties in to Death Ship. Like how Ross makes Mason and Carter relive their deaths over and over again until they find an alternative explanation, Mary Rachel makes Floyd, Billy, the old man, and the Rayford Brothers relive those same moments over and over again until she can save Floyd.

I adore musical storytelling like this, and honestly I think despite the script not being the best the song alone makes sit one of my favorite episodes

haunting song, come wander with me. can't imagine come wander with me by any one other than Bonnie Beecher playing the eternal Mary. The script is unusual, the brilliance is come wander with me.

The stand out is Mary Rachel. She has a haunting Judy Collins like voice. I could not have seen Liza Minnelli. She has too broad a voice for folk. Bonnie Beecher has a more ghostly old time voice.
I think this happened before and that's how Floyd died but he's forced to relive it because he doesn't realize that he's dead.

This is one of my favorites. I’m not surprised it’s looked down upon, but the moral is so atypical and has aged very well. The music is haunting and shows how sinful it is to covet songs that do not belong to you.

The theory about this all being a song and when ever the song is sung it comes alive therefore they come alive reminds me of the underling theme of the last unicorn. Remember she said they were apart of the song. The song lives and dies in an individual's imagination giving life every time it is played. I wonder if the tombstone could have symbolized the death of the popularity of the folk music genre. This story could have been expanded worth a good writer to take inspiration by.

It feels a lot like an old ghost story being played out.

Hey Walter, are you gonna do the 80s episodes once you’re done with the original? I want to see your thoughts on It’s Still a Good Life.

This new star living on fame never understood the essence of the music he stole so he had to pay for his blasphemy towards it(analog to the love for mary)

One of my least favorite episodes because Crosby is a terrible actor. The story is also convoluted. Beecher did a few TV shows and retired in 1968.
