OKCPD: Impersonating Law Enforcement is Illegal

An OKCPD officer had an unusual stop with a Volkswagen Jetta decked out to resemble a police vehicle. A further search of the vehicle found a disturbing amount of accessories capable of convincingly impersonating law enforcement.

Agencies across the country need to stop selling vehicles which haven't been stripped of their emergency lighting, sirens, etc. These cars are routinely sold, in this condition, across the country. A rescue vehicle sold locally still had its preemption transmitter and was being illegally used by the buyer's son. SMH Don't make it easier for people to impersonate. I realize the responsibility belongs to the one in possession.
