In today's video, we headed out to Lake Apopka Wildlife Drive to check out all of the wildlife there. We have been here before but wanted to go back since it has been a few years. Last time, we saw so many alligators so we wanted to see if we can see the same amount. The cool thing about Lake Apopka Wildlife Drive is that it is completely free! All you have to do is show up during operating hours and drive your car. They have a ton of Florida wildlife! We saw so many gators as well as a ton of birds. This is a really great place to visit if you are looking for free things to do in Central Florida. It was a nice way to spend an afternoon. If it gets too hot, all you have to do is turn on your AC. If you are ever around the Central Florida area and want to see some wildlife, stop by the Lake Apopka Wildlife Drive. It is fun!

Stay tuned for another video coming soon. Thanks so much for watching! God Bless!!!

The white beaked bird is an American coot. The orange beaked bird is a common gallinule, also called a common moorhen. Next time, be on the lookout for a purple gallinule! They look like a common gallinule but are even more colorful!

Hey from the UK.

Hope you guys are well.

We've added this to the list for our next trip. This looks so good. We heard of it but hadn't seen a video until yours.

Keep up the great work. Loving the restaurant vids 👍🏻

Hi Guys what a grt video to share and what a place and it's free! we will definitely be checking this place out👍 as you know we are snowbirds from England and we have the exact same birds in England and the red beak one is a mor hen and the white beak one is a coot.🦆🦆 we checked out one of the restaurants you visited, La Palma Mexican and the food, drink and service were all fantastic, I particularly enjoyed the 3 for 1 frozen margaritas 🍹🍹🍹 I hope you both and your fur babies are settling in to your new home🏡 😉😊

Great video. I liked the comment about Jurassic Park. I was thinking the same thing!

That’s what’s disappointing north of the 466 in The Villages I’ve only seen 2 🐊 when I lived here in 2011-12 there were everywhere I was told they been taken several out of the ponds and small lakes and destroying them because if a resident complains about a gator they thought was aggressive it would be removed. They say there are a lot in the south of The Villages. Bummer. I enjoy watching them. I moved back in June 2021.
I enjoy you guys video and your adventure very professionally done.

When I was growing up everyone called those birds "Coots".
That's all I've ever known them as, no clue if that's correct though. 😂
I love them, they are pretty to me.

I was playing golf in South Carolina and I saw a huge gator’s resting on the bank so I walked up to him about 2 feet behind him he was about 8’ long and I had my phone out to take his picture so was getting a little closer and just before I snap the picture my phone rang it scared the heck out of me and the gator 🐊.so I missed the close up. Later that day we teed off at a par 3 over a lake and my ball just cleared the water off the green and about 3 feet from my ball was a pretty big gator so I had to take my shot on the green my back was to him so I told my friend to keep his eye on the gator so I could take my shot he never moved. I have a picture of and my ball.
