This is hilarious.....

Otis moved into this building in Petone last year from their old offices in Thorndon. Whoever owned this building before Chubb/Otis installed a Schindler 3300 MRL....which has now has an OTIS sticker put on it. It must be very embarrassing for Otis if someone ever comes in to enquire about getting new lift and they have to say "Actually, that's not one of ours"

The lift went from a Schindler 3300 to an Otis 3300 because it's branded with Otis even though it's a Schindler

I would assume the lift is maintained by Otis even though it's a Schindler 3300 because it would be a bit weird if Schindler is the one responsible for maintaining a lift inside an Otis building

Most lift companies in my home country occupies a building with lifts installed by their respective lift companies. We have an office building in Jakarta where Schindler is currently there (although they will be moving to a new and bigger office somewhere in the city) with nice 90s Schindler M-Series lifts. I have never seen or heard a lift company in a building with different lift brand.
