Bro this cat is so cool, fighting off a fox while holding a bird in it's mouth. Then it knew the fox couldn't walk on the thin edge on the wooden fence and escaped. Awesome.

The fox couldn't get anywhere with that cat. The cat even had a bird in his mouth while he was swiping at the fox. LOL

It's a known fact that cats (felines) are outstanding pound for pound (with the possible exception of the weasel-family, like wolverines and badgers) among carnivores. But the size difference between a house cat and a coyote seems to be in the upper limit as cats do get lost to coyotes from time to time (coyotes also often hunt in pairs) . But when it comes to the Red fox, in fact and contrary to what people seem to expect this is a quite typical cat-fox encounter. Its seems as when the cat stands it's ground and uses their clawed paws to target the face of a dog-like creature the stakes becomes to high for the alone attacker. The risk of losing an eye for a meal seems unfavorable when your long term goal is survival.
