Amtrak Florida Trains

Florida is a busy state when it comes to long distance Amtrak service. In this video, we will take a look at all 3 of the Amtrak trains that run in the state of Florida. These include the Silver Star, Silver Meteor, and the Auto Train. Filming locations include various places in the greater Miami, Orlando, and Jacksonville areas. Enjoy!

St. Petersburg, here! Pinellas County lost our Amtrak service 36 years ago despite a population of nearly 1 million (and that's NOT counting the swaths of snowbirds and tourists who come in the winter). The irony of it is that Okeechobee, FL (pop. 5, 621 ), continues to be served by the Silver Star, and even got a brand new station constructed in 2011.

What a nice train! We travel locally in Florida. SunRail is an amazing Central Florida rail system with 16 stations from Poinciana to De Bary! It connects Volusia, Seminole, Orange and Osceola Counties. Thank you for your video!
