if people weren't working and getting salaries then how did giving them money cause such inflation? wouldn't that have just been the same.. there was money going out soomewhere and the blame is being put on stimulus. there was money going to more than the people. had to have been money going to corporations or earmarks in it somewhere. the math doesnt add up

Check Japan, China (around 2%), and other Asian countries. We have low inflation. High inflation is a sign of mismanagement and poor administration. Why didn’t he compare USA to Japan (or any Asian countries) instead of Germany or other countries?

Why can't they get some younger folks in congress or people with strength to speak a couple minutes at a time? : / On another note, the general public and media outlets are quite credulous if they believe powell is going to assume interest rate increases are the only means that should and will be used to qwell inflation. You don't need a PhD in Economics to realize the alpha effect of interest rate increases only pertains to demand-based causes of inflation. Are prices at the grocery store inflated because of demand over supply? HELL FUCKING NO! That was a fucking rhetorical question. Yet, there's some media outlets feeding this bullshit false interpretation into the minds of investors. If you can't control inflation by increasing raw GDP, than try improving recycling, reusing, and renewing consumed products. If that fails, interest rate hikes should be targeted towards non-essentials only with cost effeicient support programs in place for non-essential businesses/products to limit unemployment
