+DiplexHeated There were no pure clone units in the Imperial army after the GAR was reformed to the Imperial Army. During the battle of Kamino, the main cloning facilities producing the original (and best) clones were severely damaged, and clone production essentially stopped, though millions had already been produced. Palpatine did continue to secretly engineer and produce more clones, except these were quite inferior to the original model. By the time the Clone Wars ended, the clone ranks (especially the original ones) were quite depleted from constant fighting as well and the accelerated aging process. Since Palpatine no longer needed completely loyal troops, he decided to take the cheap choice (which may not have been worth it) to just recruit common people to become soldiers instead of replenishing the clone ranks. Most of the surviving clones were just reorganized into Stormtrooper units with the new recruits. Doing this, Palpatine was able to restore the large army of the newly-created empire, but this decision also made the army far less dangerous than the GAR (which he presumably dubbed unnecessary since most fighting would just be between small rebellions, not large scale war).

They actually turned the remaining clones into stormtroopers, they were very week going against the (egsample) woollies so the imperials just turned to recruiting people

I love how most of the clones killed in the first assult where killed by one great rocket hit. i caught it...goes throw all around.awesome

This was the video that made me love Diplex and Mowas 2🙌

they let clones to retire. some of the clones serve empire by training stormtroopers but most did their own thing. most became mercenary some became pirates as whole battalions. some even joined rebelion. but most interestingly arc troopers joined mandolorians

Clone Troopers where Loyal to the Empire and to the counselor. After he changed the Republic to the Galactic Empire the Clones Republic army changed to the Storm Trooper of the Imperial Army. Because of the faster aging. the Clone Trooper ranks where filled up by other clones (Spaarti Clones) the difference here was that the DNA was used from other Warriors and the clones only needed one year to be fully grown. Thats why Palpatine was able to conquer the whole Galaxy after he became the Imperator. After the Battle of Kamino where the 501st Legion had to fight against there own brothers Palpatine ordert to destroy all the Jango Fett material and started to recruit normal people from the Galaxy to join the Storm Troopers

clones were used as troopers until the Komino uprising (legends), Storm troopers started being cloned from different templates, soon after the clones were considered unfit for occupation such as peace keeping. so standard Humans were than enlisted and conscripted into service. The 501st was the only pure clone unit until its disbanding after the death of Darth Sideus and Darth Vader, any remaining clones became body guards of high ranking moffs.

The last clones were decommisioned about 3 years before the Battle of Yavin, but some did stay on to train stormtroopers
