York Regional Police said on Tuesday they are looking for a suspect after several acts of suspected hate-motivated vandalism were reported in a neighbourhood north of Toronto that is home to a large Jewish community.

Police said they’re investigating seven instances of graffiti involving businesses and a synagogue that were spray painted with antisemitic messages in Thornhill, Ont., a neighbourhood that includes parts of Vaughan and Markham.

They said officers learned that between 12 a.m. and 1 a.m. on Monday, a suspect spray painted the properties while wearing a Halloween-style mask. Police say investigators from their hate crime unit suspect the vandalism is hate-motivated.

You, the media, have made this all so much worse. Do your jobs. You're a disgrace to the Canadian people.

Canada is about 9, 000 km west of Israel. Canada exports agricultural products, raw materials, machinery and equipment to Israel. Canada's annual contributions to the UN and to UNRWA are about $200 million and $30 million respectively. Canadian religious institutions in general are apolitical - and its Jewish places of worship are not involved in political extremist acts. So as a Canadian citizen, I find it completely unacceptable for this hateful vandalism to take place here. The perpetrators are fanning the flames of domestic terrorism, and I expect to see a violent backlash against pro-Hamas and/or pro-Palestinian supporters.

Why is asking for a end to the ongoing genocide a "hate crime"? What would happen if it is one particular group that defines what is "hate", for their own benefit & to the detriment of those they would destroy? (hypothetical question)

FREE PALESTINE isn't antisemitism. Besides, the Palestinians are Semites too.

That what you get when you mix several cultures in the same community. Canada becoming a melting pot where everyone is proud of their origine, yet nobody claim being Canadian.

At least you are reporting this, unlike the targeting of Hindu Temples and the Hindu Liberal MP, last week in Edmonton.

Free Gaza & Palestine isn't anti-Semitic. It's still graffiti though and defacing private property.
