I'm not like a crazy fan of Google, but switching my default search engine on my mobile Chrome browser literally took one click... Three if you counted the three dots and "Search Engine".

How is it 15 clicks away ? On Chrome, Search Engine Settings is the first setting you can change. You already have a browser and apps, but most people choose Google over them. The harsh truth is, Users don’t really care about privacy that much. Also, your app doesn’t allow the use of any other search engines, it has to be DDG. Simply put, people don’t like your service because the name is terrible. No one will ever say “let me duck duck go something”.

I just got a chrome book, and so far it's impossible to switch to duck. The "create shortcut" is blurred, therefore not available, and I'm still searching for a resolution before I send it back and give up.

You were given the oportunity to describe a world were google is not that imporant, and failed to sell us a better world were privacy is important. I dont want to like google, but im not going to even try duck duck go.. failed at selling me the idea. Firefox and mozilla fundation in the other hand..that appeals me more if im looking for privacy.

I use DDG, I have an old android. Anyone got this years model? How hard is it to switch over. I have to dig through Samsung to switch it out.

This guy is a straight up liar lol. Open menu --> settings --> Search Engine. That's all it takes, try it on your phone now.

Funny thing google is actually messing with the CEO's voice but not the news person's voice. My question why offer the app then ruin searches when using duck duck go?

Chrome wasn't on my device when i got it. I chose to install it and use it but now i can't uninstall it i can only disable it and i don't know when that happened. I just wanted to free up space. Facebook is worse though. It would monitor my device and "update" when i would manually do my updates through google play. PLUS it would log everything i did on my device even when the app wasn't open, and it was stuff that wasn't even connected to facebook in any way other than being on my device at the same time which is still weird cuz you know on my device Facebook is a system application and i can only disable it and I think that's pretty messed up especially for a social thing! And I bet it's still even monitors me even if it's disabled.

On iOS it takes 7 clicks to change the search engine on google chrome. 😀
