In this video, I show you how you can change the Z limit switch on your Ender 3 from Creality. I did the installation from the Creality Glass printbed, but I didn't show how to adjust the Z limit switch on the Creality Ender 3.

Thank you for watching this video. please like this video and if you are new to Zachary 3D Prints, then consider subscribing to my Channel, because I upload new videos on a weekly base. Stay tuned!

I'm new to 3D printing and have experienced the same issue. I started suspecting that i needed to adjust my Z stop but this is the first video that I found covering this specific topic. Thank you!

Whatever you do, Do Not Speed your Hotend or your Bed Quickly from one side to the other with the Power Supply Turned On or Off. You will Blow the Transistors and Capacitors on your Control Board with EMI Spikes. Brushed and Brushless Motors when Spun Rapidly in Reverse become Generators and will Produce Electrical Spikes through the Wires back into the Control Board. I made that Mistake Once and Advise the Rest of you to be Careful . Other than that Great video on Setting Z-Axis Height.

Why do they not mention the carful and tricky yet essential adjustment of this sensor in the manual?
On my printer I installed it too low... by just following the manual, so with the auto-home the nozzle went so far down that the board seemed to bend a bit (glass doesn't bend, so it's probably because I didn't level the bed yet

Thanks for sharing, I added some new springs to my Ender3 via another Youtuber and he did not explain how to do adjust the Z switch, so you've also helped me heaps. Love your set up, will have to go and watch some more of your videos.

Great video, thanks for the shar. One piece of advice - when leveling the bed, I always adjust by LOWERING the bed, i.e. tensioning the spring with the adjustment wheel at each corner clockwise (looking up from the bottom of the printer). When you EASE the bed up to the nozzle, I find it doesn't hold its position, it changes a little bit afterwards. It is like tuning a guitar string - you always tune from below, tightening the string, never easing the string.

Great tip. I will detach the glass bed and use that as the actual depth adjustment like you did with the wooden dowel.

Great video for adjusting the Z limit switch. Just a suggestion, fully compress all 4 bed springs and then manually adjust the limit switch so the extruder nozzle is just a few mm above the bed and tighten the limit switch bolts. Perform autohome and then unscrew the bed leveling knobs until the nozzle is close to the bed level. Perform a leveling routine a few times (autohome and check level x3).

Went nuts and bought tons of mods after I got into 3d printing this week. This my first week. I can tell you all. Nothing makes you take it slow and pay attention to what you doing. When you get that new glass bed and install it. Then don't fully understand leveling. That extruder hitting your sexy new glass bed and scraping and dragging the f out of it. The sound of a lesson learned has never been so clear.

Hey Man, I need your help. I did what you said but when I was trying to level it, the nozzle was still too high even though the bed level is already raised as high as possible. Is there any possible fixes for this? Thank you!

Hi Zachary! Thank you SO much for this video, I was having issues with my glass plate and couldn't figure it out. I can't even tell you how many times i leveled my bed thinking that was the issues only to have it happen again. Thank you!!!

I'm having the issue with the zlimit not staying in place no matter how hard the nuts are fastened. I can make it fall off by just slightly nudging it at an angle. Any ideas what the issue might be? I'm not having much luck with the control panel staying on either.

I have a home made 3D printer. I am facing issue with my z motors, as they are not moving up as expected and endup crashing into previous layer. I am currently moving z motors by hand clockwise to avoid this issue but it is not giving output as expected

kindly advise if there is a way to fix this issue by increasing z motor position after each layer by changing printing configuration in Slic3r or in Merlin firmware.

I am using Slic3r for gCodes and PronterFace for printing
