I’m glad the perigrine is working out for you! It’s one of my all time favorite trail running shoes. And as you said in the video the stability and traction are phenomenal. And for me those to factors are top priority for me with trail shoes. Everything else is a distant second place. Also great review man!

Been running year around with Peregrine in Germany with no issues, my first pair lasted about 3 years of brutal weekly usage. Rain, snow, sun, never mattered, had great grip and just went after it.

Great Pro tip, currently looking at this shoe for my winter running in the mountains.

love mine. they don't vent well in hot weather and ive had a little wear from the collar rubbing my ankle but i sewed a little stitch to fix that. ive run long distances totaling about 500 miles in mine with almost no wear anywhere else on the shoe. they are a great mix of comfort (not to soft) and feedback (lots of control). i run a mix of dirt, mud, sand, roots, rocks, paved trail with snow and slush in the winter. i run xc spikes in the ice for better traction. ive already ordered a second pair.

Such a good review. Glad you got the wide shoe that was stable but interesting about the tongue. Hope you fixed that.

I appreciate the honest and detailed review Steven. Love all the supporting b-roll! Great work around for the tongue issue. I would trade a little weight for comfort too.

These are my first pair of Saucony. I got them mainly for walking in the rain/snow. Went and walked a few miles in them, and I must say, they are very comfortable right out of the box. They honestly feel broken in already. Can’t wait to see how they perform in rain/waterproofing capabilities.

Awesome review! I've been playing around with the idea of getting these shoes to accompany my Altra's to give my achilles/calves a little break. I'll have to get a pair now and see how they work for me, thanks Steven!

I agree about the short tongue on this shoe. It's a real problem.

I haven’t worn the Peregrines before but absolutely love the Saucony Mad River

Really good review. Wish the wide came in different colors! The outsole looks very nice!

Oh man sorry that shoe was a bummer for the 50k! What a race to discover that issue...

I have the blue ones and idk what you're talking about with the toung. There's elastics the length of the toung attching it in place all the way down the length of the toung down to the sole inside and a black elastic across the top of the toung to attach it to the laces. Seems redundent to make ankther hole through the toung above the lace hole to attach the laces again to the toung.

Nice review.. I have the peregrine 10, now growing to like it but wish I had the wide. 👍

Saucony makes a pretty good trail shoe. I've never ran in anything different on the trails.

Nice review. I have about 150K on mine and not noticed the tongue issue you have, perhaps the W version only? I also have the Grey/Green version, not the prettiest! 🇨🇦

Do you think these would work for day hikes? I run in saucony kinvara's but haven't found a good hiking shoe.

Do you run the laces just behind the logo fabric on the tongue? So the cut you made goes through that fabric only? Just picked up a pair of these, and would hope to not have the issue you describe, but who knows.

They’re a brand I’ve used on and off since the Kinvara 2 in 2010, but I’ve never took them seriously for trail shoes. Just not a peregrine fan.
