Learn more about Permaculture from world leading experts

While Permaculture is becoming increasingly popular around the world, many are still in the dark about what it really is and why people are using it in what they do.

Rob Avis has been practicing Permaculture as a designer, consultant, and engineer for the past decade and is a wealth of knowledge on the subject. At Verge, our goal is to provide quality permaculture education to all who are interested and to help people who are looking for a change… Since we began, we’ve taught thousands of students and inspired hundreds of individuals to take action and start their own businesses.

I love this stuff. What interests me is this sort of efficiency loop where multiple systems benefit each other, whether that’s habitat construction or food production, etc. It’s an exciting time to see old world techniques being hybridized with modern science/technology.

I'm on a fixed income because of a disability but I think Verge Permaculture is a channel to get behind. We really need to change how we manage our soils and they are building systems and showing how this can be done. It is more of a challenge in Canada because of the much reduced growing season. I think Verge Permaculture is a force for good change. Takota Coen is demonstrating these principles on his family's farm and so is Rob. Supply chains are breaking down and we all need to do what we can to prepare. Some day I'll take Rob's course. I bought the book he and Takota wrote and I can't wait to read it.

Nice description @vergepermaculture! Love the simplicity of “if beavers can do it, we can do it!” Mic drop

I have a half acre+ block and have begun researching permaculture as an option for managing the block.
Weed suppression is what made me look at it initially, and my wanting to grow my own food. And permaculture ticks all of the boxes. Permaculture increases insect, plant and animal activity and the quality of life on the block. I will receive food and therapy from creating and maintaining my food forest. I will be able to encourage my grandchildren to look deeper into the connections between humans and the rest of the world and how we can positively or adversely impact things around us, just by making choices.
Such an adventure to embark upon.

People are part of the system. we need to survive as well and in the process we need to be custodians of The land we own. If everybody did that, the land would be different. We are not purée to but we are trying to learn as we evolve. Permaculture for sure is the best knowledge we have to do that. Anybody that sees people as pest is narrow minded. The narrative today is this exact same view. Government and big businesses are trying to separate people from their own environment. We need to fight this by moving from cities to the land.

Well, this got significantly less comments than your last video! I'd like to think I was recommended your channel because of an interest in Permaculture rather than because your last video contained a Facebook diatribe/conspiracy (I don't mean that in a bad way), but who knows? Either way, great to be subscribing!
