I couldn't agree more, I too will check the sellers feed back rating before I buy from them. After 18 years on eBay my store remains at 100% Feed Back (knock-on-wood). Best advice same day shipping, sometimes I will go to the Post Office twice in one day, just to show my customer I ship super fast. Packing is another big problem with most...take your time and pack each item if it was worth a thousand dollars. Never had a customer complain that the item was under packed. Thanks Don for reinforcing the feed back importance.

Great points. I think I found someone near me who is a student of yours. Selling paper goods, ad postcards etc. Exactly the way you show. I almost thought I was looking at your store at first!

Agree completely. In real life too, a person’s reputation is the most important part of their brand. It is always built ground up. So one must guard it at all cost. Following what all you said will help grow and sustain it

Totally agree. Customer service is essential. Been on ebay for many years. What bugs me the most are those huge sellers that have like a million sales and can get away with many thousands of negatives and still get sales.

Hi Don, I've been buying and selling on E-bay over 20 years. I presently have almost 1700 feedback all positive. The #1 thing I protect first.

100% agreed. After 2860 positive feedback over 7 years I managed to retain 100% positive I got my first negative:/ it was a major blow as the buyer had 3 feedback total. I would have fixed the issue had the buyer communicated with me. When I responded to the feedback I was apologetic and kind.. it’s very important when replying to feedback left make sure you don’t blame the buyer… because even though I’m upset I can’t be upset about someone’s opinion and that’s what it boils down to… everyone has a right to their opinion. This video is 100% correct.

I love this so much!! I am a grocery manager of a little over 30 years and as a newer reseller I am so very proud that I have 100% feedback over the last year and a half. It’s literally what I’m constantly thinking about. Fantastic subject thank you 😊

We agree feedback is very important, you can learn a lot about a seller by reading through some of the feedback. It's easy to see how they take care of their customers. Well said about some youtubers, when you been in this business as long as us and yourself, you can spot who is in it just for marketing and who is full of BS. Having a good memory of what has been said by others and they forget what they say, many times this will show their true colors with out even looking at their feedback.

I agree with you. A seller's feedback is everything. I always look at the seller's feedback before making a purchase. If the seller responds to negative feedback with a snarky or nasty comment i will not buy from them.
I appreciate your thoughts about youtubers with bad feedback. Well said.

I listed a Cutco Knife (Pearl Handle) with an honest stated wear on the handle in the description under the Buy It Now option. The buyer purchased the item and proceeded to tell me he would not close the payment unless I lowered the price or lowered the shipping price. He held my item "hostage" for the four day limit Ebay has established and it languished in my listing. I politely explained that the price I had chosen was fair due to the damage I had observed and that I could not change the shipping fees either for fear Ebay would not cover damage incurred during shipping. He basically threatened me twice using exclamation points to drive his point home. I lost four days but in the long run Ebay stood by my decision. I am thrilled that they monitor buyers/sellers.

Absolutely agree. Been selling comics and graphic novels and a few related items for 20 years now. I have 100% positive feedback. I've had a few negatives here and there and a few neutrals. I've made every one of them right. Over 5000 positive. Only wish my sales were just as high. From what I can see not getting a lot of repeat buyers. Seems every month it's always a new buyer. Hope people listen. Sound and great advice. Thanks.

I have had 100% feedback since I started selling in 2008, my customers I treat all the same, if they buy cheap or expensive items from me I always treat them all the same. I give the best service I can and pack items that others may say is over the top with packing. I make sure my item gets to customers the same way it left me, & 99% of the time they are posted the same day or the next morning. I have even in the past given a partial refund if an item arrives later than 4 days late, or after 7 days I have given a full refund and gone after the postage company for a refund to me for missing item, generally I have got a refund even with 2nd class items with the reference number showing item has not been delivered. Treat your customers the same way as you would like to be treated, and if buyers have a few negs look very carefully before buying. Or better still stay safe and stay away from those that show lots on negs. Thank you, Don. Charles in the UK

I frequently look at other's negative comments just to see what are the things people get annoyed at. By doing so I make sure I don't do these things that anger others. I am shocked how many resellers are so damned nasty and sarcastic to customers. Why are they resellers ?
