Lenovo made a dual-screen laptop that's actually good — Yoga Book 9i

The Lenovo Yoga Book 9i is a laptop with not one, but two OLED screens. It comes with a removable keyboard, a kickstand, and a stylus, and you can use it in all kinds of different positions. It could be a cool and versatile addition to anyone's workflow -- as long as you're willing to pay $2,000 for it. #lenovo #ces #technology

“ So it’s not like Microsoft where you have to buy them separately” that was savage 😆

I'm not a big fan of dual-screen laptops, but this is the best implementation that I've seen yet. Well done, Lenovo!

This dual-screen is the first one of its kind that I actually want. Its like how i imagined future tech as a kid. Or from movies. Will love to see this stress tested in the future!

This is genius!! and probably the most polished design of foldable / dual screen laptop. Kudos to the designers. I love it.

Great demo especially when the user knows how to navigate the device functions and features. They did forget to mention that you can use the laptop in vertical mode so that you have two portrait-mode screens side by side. That's a great use case for document editing.

This actually is my preferred monitor arrangement. I use a laptop at work with a second display just above the laptop screen.

This what we call innovation, and the way to think outside of the box, kudo Lenovo 🎉

Finally! A code editor is on one screen, and output is on the other.
ON A LAPTOP.
WITH MY CUSTOM MECHANICAL KEYBOARD.

Last time I was just intrigued by a laptop it was the original Lenovo Yoga.

Love this concept! It seems really well thought out, like I can't think of a noticeable downside to this form factor of the top of my head.

I think the most underrated and impressive part is the hinge, it's really hanging onto things there. That was a lot of focus on a virtual touchpad on a touchscreen, that just seems superfluous and not actually practical in real use cases. I am shocked that it wasn't flipped into side-by-side book mode, not even once.

I'm a bit skeptical of the battery life it is a very interesting device though

I feel like it'd actually be great for workflow. I could be distracting myself or doing work on the bottom during a pointless Zoom meeting, I could use it as the best side laptop with all of my media during the day and the two screens would be beautiful, etc. What I wonder is how much of a primary laptop this could be... Doesn't feel powerful enough, but I know that's not the point here.

Curious about more details on the stylus, how many levels of pressure sensitivity does it have, does it use batteries, does it register tilt, etc.

What was the graphics like? I believe it does not have a dedicated graphics card. Would it be able to run CAD programmes? As an architect it would be very useful to work on CAD drawings on one screen and other programmes on the second screen.

1:36 oh, when you’re in a café, you’ll want everyone to know your laptop has 2 screens.

Yes it's definitely an awesome concept. Though I would have like to have 1 OLED and 1 Eink display instead of 2 OLED. This way, depending on the situation you could use one or the other screen. They actually made such a prototype some years ago, but it was very small (10" I think) so it had many drawbacks that killed it :/

Incredible job by the engineers. First time I've had a craving for a new productivity/media consumption laptop in a while.
