Pete, we were on the Venezia in September for our Canadian trip out of Manhattan. Now for that trip that ship was perfect because that wasn’t really a time that you just hang out outside in your swimsuit. We would go on the side on deck five the lanai and hang out. It was really nice there and quiet where you could stay either in the sun or out. They closed the roof on the Lido. I think it was day three and never opened it back up again because of all the parties that they would have on the Lido and it was actually really cool because you could sit on deck 11 and look down because you were still in the enclosed area so it really made it a lot warmer. We did have a little bit of warm sunny weather to be able to hang out on the serenity for a little bit, but you still needed the towel to cover up. I did enjoy the hot tub and I did go down the slide with my teenage grandson one time and said oh my gosh never again and he jumped in the pool on the aft, then ran back into the hot tub. The pools were not crowded lol so I think that this would be a great ship to go to Alaska and that’s what it’s meant for since it has that great roof coverage and so many cool spaces inside. Our food was so inconsistent this whole entire time and the smoking in the casino was horrendous. We found the little tiny, non-smoking casino but the games weren’t nearly as good. I did enjoy the rope course and mini golf and that whole area outside there when it wasn’t too windy.😊

Stayed to the end. I’m planning on taking a bunch of kids on their first cruise and we all live in NYC so leaving out of Manhattan is a no brainer. So far I’ve been on the victory and conquest. This boat looks amazing compared to the victory so I’m praying everyone enjoys the boat.

Stayed till the end Sushi!!!! The best and one of my favorites. Sailing again in September 2025 for the third time. This Costa ship was utilized originally for the Asian market - hence the smaller pool areas. I thought perhaps you were going to mention the "smart" elevators which work great - just takes time for pax to get use to them and how they work.

This was accurate the mixers suck they don’t have 21 to 35 mixers😢sucks but overall a good ship
