Featuring a highly energetic drumming accompaniment, this fun number by the then 20 year old ‘teen heart-throb’ pop singer was first issued in Australia on a 45 vinyl disc in 1962.
As no national top 40 listing existed at that time, Bobby’s Australian fans had to wait many years until the ‘Kent Music Report’ (the forerunner of today’s ‘ARIA Charts’) retrospectively confirmed that the U.S. based artist’s recording first charted on 27 October 1962, and had ultimately peaked at the #2 position.
It was also ranked as Australia’s 23rd biggest selling pop single of the year.
