There was a man who would escort me to the waiting room and he was the kindest man on earth. “ How many buttons are there, would you like to press the elevator button?” Honestly the best part of that day .

I can confirm as an 18 yr old id still rather these fun names 😂 and have always loved them as a kid. My dentist also had a train that went around the office and waiting room so that helped to! So glad there's people who do this for little ones

Actually… telling a child you’re using “the explorer” could make them super excited and happy. I know as a child, I was super creative and that would get me going, hahaha. The names are really cute and can help alleviate stress or nerves too.

Love this!! My daughters first dentist forced and slammed her mouth shut on the X-ray things. She was screaming and crying because it hurt( not just uncomfortable.) And they tried to say it was “normal” needles to say we never went back there and it never happened again. They were a well known children’s dentist as well.

When i was little and had to have the numbing gel stuff put on my gums before they removed an extra tooth, the dental assistant told me she was gonna give me some jelly, and asked me if I liked strawberry jelly to distract me haha. So thankful that she did that and that yall have such great incognito kid-names for your instruments ❤

I got my baby teeth pulled for braces when I was 9, and they called Novicane "Sleepy juice for the the tooth." I love them for that

I'm a teenager and they still don't rlly talk abt the terms or new nicknames for the equipment but they do try to keep the instruments out of my vision so i don't see them. They still call x-rays "taking pictures" lol. But honestly, i feel like a lil kid again and i love it
