This market looks amazing! One thing we always love to do when visiting a city is to try super local spots, with more unique dishes that most tourists will never try. This market seems perfect for that. We will have to check it out sometime. 😃

The woman who gives you free sweets, she shows her sincerity towards you. If you are sincere and respectful towards the local people, you will receive kindness in return. Thai people are kind and gentle by nature.😊 keep going I always support you guys.

The correct way to eat Khao Chae is to scoop the side dish that has the strongest flavor first. Then eat the rice. If the water separates from the rice, eat the side dish first, then the rice, then drink the water. To keep the aroma of the water. This type of food was originally a palace food. Therefore, there is more ceremony in eating than usual. This type of food is popular in the summer. In ancient times, this type of food had to use ice. And the ice had to be sent from Singapore or Penang only. Therefore, only the palace or the upper class could eat it. When the country changed government. The traditions and ways of the palace were spread to the general society. My grandfather was a nobleman in the palace and my grandmother was a lady-in-waiting of the royal family. So I have listened to stories from the palace since I was a child.😊

Your information is correct. "Talad Nang Loeng" is the first market in Thailand. It was built during the reign of King Chulalongkorn (Rama V) which HM the king officially opened this market on March 29, 1900. The name of this market (Nang Loeng) came from a water jar produced by the ethnic "Mon" people from "Koh Kret" who brought pottery here to sell, and its unique shape and color made Siam (Thai) people remember it very well.

Most Thai people tend to preserve and pass on all forms of art and culture that they have from generation to generation. This market is like an ancient food court that is very rare to find today.
To be honest, if I want to eat that kind of food like you, I'll probably have to stop by at least 3-4 food courts near my location. I'm waiting for your next VLOG, and thanks for sharing.
