I'm the Hooded Lid and am here to discover and share new applications and techniques as my face is changing with age. I also review products with a focus on eye shadows that are crepey lid friendly! I also adore perfume and do reviews of new releases that are interesting to me, as well as videos grouping together genre and seasonal favorites.

I was quite surprised that it looked matte on my skin…and the”light neutral” shade is really peachy, not neutral at all… (F136 Ethereal).

The Kjaer Weis website is a great place to get instructions for application. A clean beauty vlogger did not like the dropper at all, but likes the foundation (they warned of a scent.)

If samples were offered, I’d try it because my 52 yo, perimenopausal skin looks better with a bit of a glow to it. I’ve got extremely dry, very sensitive, and psoriatic skin, do I avoid a lot of cosmetics these day, but am desperate for a foundation. Sappho was my go-to foundation until they changed their emulsifier, then my skin reacted.

On the video it does look like a great match, btw. Thanks for reviewing.

On their danish website it says that it should be shaken well before application, and that it can be applied with fingers, sponge or brush, and is buidable to medium coverage with a luminous finish. Maybe it would not be so shiny if you shake it first🤔

I thought it looked beautiful on your skin, particularly on the beauty blender side, which was less shiny. If skin is too perfect looking the impression is that it's foundation. Your skin, with less foundation, looked lovely and youthful, clear and smooth - very natural. I will have to look into that foundation. The ingredients are natural, but the mica makes me wince. I've read that the majority of mica used in cosmetics comes from child laborers who are small enough to crawl into the nooks and crannies where the mica dwells. It can be ethically sourced, apparently, but the industry isn't under enough pressure yet to reveal their mica sources as they have been concerning animal testing. Progress is occurring there, so perhaps it will occur with the mica issues as well. Thanks for the thoughtful interview - well done.

I got used to the way oilier kosas tinted oil that when i tried it I thought it was just the right amount of dewy 😂also kosas 03 is i think warmer or cooler than 136. My face is pinker compared to my olive body and 03 is the perfect match for my face but 136 looked tad bit redder.

Loved how you showed us with fingers, Beauty Blender, various blushes and powder. Color match was fantastic! I don’t care for the extra glow without powder, so I would also add powder. The finish is lovely on you. Thank you!

It’s a danish makeup line 😘 I love this brand, but I sadly feel it goes old too soon. This foundation might be better because of the dropper. No fingers in the product every day. Greetings from Denmark 🇩🇰 Thank you got this review. I think I’ll try this although I hate perfume/scent in makeup.

I feel like your skin was shiny before you applied the foundation and it probably just didn’t soak up any of it

Your exasperated snort in the middle of applying made me laugh so hard! This looks lovely on you! I have the KW cream foundation, and this seems like a dewier version of the original. Have you tried Exa foundation? Also clean brand but more lightweight and can be easily mixed with other things. I think the color Therese would match you well.

oh love this review thank you - what color/shade do you have with the dior serum foundation?
I have used this for years but now it no longer exists and I am looking for a comparable one!

Thank you for your thoughts on the new Kjaer Weis. Very helpful! Which setting powder and application brush did you use? I loved your resulting finish!

Are you cool, warm, or neutral, what about this shade, thanks?

Loved the review! What shade did you use? Watched the whole vid and didn't hear it mentioned but I might have just spaced out haha!

It looks a lot like the Ilia Skin Tint Serum, as far as thickness and look on the skin. Have you reviewed that one? It does settle into skin and dry down. Other makeup applies well on top. I'm 47 and wasn't sure if it was for more mature skin, and it took me a few times to try it and now it's my hands down favorite. I thought your skin looked gorgeous with this foundation!

I thought for sure you really liked it, then you said, “I don’t know if I’m gonna keep it.” 😆

I find it quite amusing seeing fancy foundations in a designer packaging with a ton of water and coverage reminiscent of a 10$ bb cream. Ahhh the marketing beauty of the beauty industry 😂😂😂
