this pilot was originally going to be an adult swim show, but it was too cute for their standards, so cartoon network had taken it instead

Edit: It has been three years since i posted this, as far as i know it may be closer to four, I am in high school, it is true, its a thing that happened, they thought it was more sad than cute cause it used to be about rejects at a remedial school, so i was a little wrong, but the pilot was shown to the adult swim studios

I love the fact that in the episode where they return Molly from the void, you can see the Darwin model in the background as well as a led version of gumball

I definitely didn’t see the pilot but I can just FEEL the 2000s energy and it makes me so happy

I don't know where animation would be without Gumball. I seriously believe they started the whole stylized CGI revolution that went mainstream in the late 2010s.
