I'm a sucker for bird motifs in character designs and man do i love her sleeves :o

this is amazing. I made a character pretty similar to this for D&D a while back, but it was nowhere near as good of a design as this, lovely work.

I love her design! And they do look like weapons, even if they aren't traditional weapons of samurai, so I think using a backstory of her coming from common beginnings would be perfect! Maybe that's what she used to defend herself, and she got used to training with those or using them as weapons?

Bird in Japanese is “Tori” so you could call them “Tori Samurai” or “Tori no Samurai” which translates to “Samurai of the birds”
