-Do you wanna eat some bacon?
-Oh I’m sorry I’m Jewish.
-Don’t worry it’s free

I grew up with a Jewish friend and his family. I was the Token gentile.
This stuff is pure gold.
I used to crack up when their relatives would travel in for a family gathering. The guys would stand in a circle and out-degrade themselves on their mechanical abilities.
It was just beautiful.

This man came prepared and couldn't be offended. Be this man in everyday life.

Ok, so here's the thing. I am Russian and I've spent a couple of years in Odessa (Ukraine) which have a lot of Jewish people. So this one time I got asked about something (can't remember now, it was like a decade ago), and I replied with a question. The guy who asked me the question says "Are you Jewish?", and I reply "No, are you?". Then we both started laughing cause basically the whole conversation was in questions, yet none of us were Jewish.

My Lawyer and my Dentist are both Jewish and they both are HORRIBLE for answering my questions with another question. I'm a very blunt direct to the point person (especially when discussing my freedom and/or dental health) and they talk in circles and don't answer straight. I never knew it was a Jewish thing I thought it was just a professional thing that certain people do to not say more than they have to regarding a client/patient. It's really nice to see someone laughing at jokes of their own religion/culture we need more of that in the world with how overly sensitive and offended people are.

My best friend in school was Jewish and both him and his family were super generous and constantly invited me over.

The stereotype about the old food was just so spot on, in the living room there was always this long table that felt like Thanksgiving dinner had just happened two hours earlier, with an oddly weird combination of completely disconnected and poorly matched foods always available, of which they would insist i eat from until i relented.

A glass jar of frankfurts with the lid missing, a dry steak literally sitting on it´s own in a plate, a bunch of opened chocolate bars none of which were actually finished, like four different 2L bottles of different sodas of which only 1 still conserved the lid, a ridiculously large plate of hummus with entire sections missing that had already been dipped on, an orange, a pot completely full of stew that was cold to the touch yet it had clearly meant to serve as the main dish of the day, several recipients with lentil soup, an open jar of nutella with a breadstick inside, maybe some canned sardines, and a basket with bread that mostly contained the crusts someone else had discarded.

then maybe two bananas one of which was completely green and inedible and another one that was basically already good only for compost, and then finally a sandwitch in aluminum foil that was meant to have served as a lunch option for school for one of the kids, and had been sitting there since the last weekend with noone taking ownership of it.

The best part was, every visit i would make, the food was equally random but always in such large quantities and always extremely hard to match up or combine.

Fun times.

I like what General Sam said when talking about the fact that he was half-Jewish. When he was young his parents asked him whether he wanted to celebrate Christmas or Hanukkah, and he said, like any good Jew, "Christmas because you get more presents"

I'm a Finn and I would love to see offensive jokes and sketches about Finns. I doubt they could be any worse than what we've seen in Finnish comedy shows

It is hard to offend people who are confident and secure in themselves.

The old newspaper cartoons Fips used to do for Der Sturmer newspaper were really insightful. Fips, real name Philipp Rupprecht, was the main cartoonist for Der Sturmer and an incredibly talented one at that. I have seen many hundreds of his cartoons from the years 1924 to 1945 and his range was quite astonishing. He certainly knew what features of the Jewish people stand out and how to convey that as very few could. It’s hard to pick a favourite of all his cartoons, he drew thousands, but one that I often think about was published in his later works, from the front page of an issue of Der Sturmer dated 28th of September 1944 titled “Vermin” in this image we see an enormous grub with a Jewish like face sitting atop the earth, with the following words underneath “Life is not worth living When one does not resist the parasite, Never satisfied as it creeps about. We must and will win.”
