Appreciate this man. You're lucky to witness a talent like him once in a lifetime. His songs are culturally relevant. He is a gem.

I wonder why Rupert wasn't more famous. He sure is a sleek performer, thoughtful, talented. Either way, I really appreciate his work.

Love this awesome slow paced bluesy version. The guitar blends in and enhances the song magnificently. Timeless song.

A very good song. And a very underrated artist. Rupert Holmes deserves more respect than he has gotten from the music industry, or the public.

He is famous. He has written many hits for other artists, is a great playwright, etc. A true genius.

This song (as well as Escape) came out during the days of my first love!! He even looked so much like Rupert Holmes and was a singer/songwriter also and played the guitar! I would sit and listen to him play! He was 23 but I was only 15. So, I was forbidden fruit, I told him to wait for me 😂. He ended up with a girlfriend but she treated him badly. I let her know he was mine when I'm of age 😂! Tragically, he took his life later.... DEVASTATING! So Rupert Holmes and his great music has always been hauntingly special to me!! Love this live version too!! ❤️

Didn't realise how very talented Rupert Holmes was/is. Always loved the Escape song. Had no idea how many other artists he has worked with and produced not to mention plays he has written and produced and he now lives in Cheshire 😊👍 fabulous ❤️

I knew about Rupert at a young age from the song “Escape”. Being raised under a Hispanic household I listened to a lot of Latin Singers. It wasn’t until I listened to Jose’ José “El” that I discovered Rupert Holmes “Him”

My mom loves this song. She listen to this when she was in washington dc. She blared the song with her friends. And danced. She told her friend to keep playing it over and over!! The song was in a juke box machine! Awesome 👍😎.

Unreal. 43 years ago. Young people are starting to realize how great our music was. I sing this song. People love it

The transition between late 70s and early 80s seems to have been odd yet still amazing... I was just born in the mid 80s, but the gradual evolution of 80s music was quite interesting to me.

I think this song is such a personal song of sorts....most have been there and can relate....Instead of thinking what happen...this song lays it all out as to how you feel.
