I have one and I give it 5 Vivian heads. Works great when your sitting outside. Zaps bugs dead. The metal grid is actually not charged. That's why the hot dog will not zap. A bug fits between the grating and gets zapped. Had mine for 2 years and batteries are original. Still working.

There is a safety grid and then the zapping grid. The "bug" has to go passed the safety grid to the zapping one to die.just fyi

I get a certain satisfaction when I zap a pesky fly.😁 I’ve had one of those fly zappers for about 8yrs. I love mine and it still works! The bug has to get past the safety cage b4 it will zap it. ⚡️. The outer wires not going to zap it. It’s what’s inside that zaps it. Good luck!🍀

When u use the zapper the bugs hit the inner wires the outside is a protective layer so if u push the hot dog onto the litter part it has to make contact with the inner wires/ grid to make the shock. I have one myself and if you have a bug on it and keep pressing the button the bug will start to smoke 😅

Hi Vivian . That bug zapper is the real deal. Everyone that sees it in action wants one. I think I need to clean mine because the bugs smell their dead friends and family juices when you have the button pressed, they haul a**. It’s definitely a “10” .
