In the early days of the pandemic there were people in Florida who thought that only a place like New York City could screw up in the way they handled hospitalizations and mortality rates. Now they have to look at themselves and realize they have stepped into a big pile of it. "It can't happen here." Meanwhile New York City seems to have things under control.
