(Outdated) Followup - Make Windows 10 Look EVEN MORE Like XP

I was going through the comments from my previous video and noticed a lot of great suggestions for additional customization options. In this video, I go over 6 of those modifications you can do to make Windows 10 look even more like XP.

Also, for the ultimate eXPerience, you can change the all of the system fonts (window title font, balloon font, etc) to Tahoma, make the window title font size bigger, and turn off font smoothing. I imagine that would make quite a good video, as it combined with all of these modifications might make Win 10 indistinguishable from XP.

And what about XP apps, as I told you in comments to pervious video. Some like paint, some games, notepad and calculator WOULD work. You can find them online or use from existing XP installation. Just copy them to random folder and put shortcuts to desktop and Start menu. I don't see a problem in doing that. Like, for Michael MJD to see!!!

Here are some things that you could do to make Windows 10 look more like Windows XP:
1. You could use RetroBar (I mean, even though you did a full video about RetroBar but I think it's fine)
2. Use Winaero Tweaker to Remove the Action center, disable the lock screen, enable the classic Windows Photo Viewer and enable the startup sound
3. Use BasicThemer2 to make the theme buttons a bit more like the Windows XP ones (it's either going to work or not)
4. You could also use 2013Windows8.1's Windows XP icon pack to get all of the Windows XP icons

Can't wait for the WindowBlinds video to be uploaded! I actually remember having used that stuff myself, and you could achieve quite nifty results with it, since you weren't confined to restrictions laid down by the position of actual interface elements when designing your themes...

This is freaking awesome. Going to do a new Ryzen build inside an old 2003 Sony Vaio desktop and keeping the XP look is just going to make the build to much better. Hope you keep at it with making windows 10 look like XP until they look identical! Thanks

You can make the text and animations look exactly like xp by going to the search and typing adjust and clicking on adjust the appearance and performance of Windows. Then, select adjust Windows for performance and click apply and everything will look like xp as far as animations and text and a couple of other things.

Tip: If you set WIndows Media Player as the default app, you can use the preview pane in File Explorer to play sounds without launching an app.

I know more things to do, get winaero tweaker and download it. After you download it, there are a lot of tweaks to do, first choose startup sound and choose enable startup sound and change the sound to windows so startup sound, then type in volume and choose use old volume control, then type in battery fly out and uncheck use new battery fly out, next disable action center and disable people on taskbar and windows ink workspace. Then enable balloon tips. And go to shortcut arrow and choose use classic shortcut arrow, next alt tab experience and enable use classic alt tab experience. And customize as many tweaks as possible.

About the ad thing: In my opinion, it is perfectly ethical to use an adblocker if the ad is obstructive. Otherwise, on sites such as youtube, I whitelist it to support creators

You can boot into a live cd like hirens and run the program and modify the read only icons

You can disable the action center by going into settings and typing system icons and toggling off the action center

i get your point about ads, but in the same time if i have to basically stand on my hands, using my mouse with my feet, while singing Kazakhstan national anthem in reverse. just to be able to use a webpage.
then it is their loss and i keep using my ad-blocker.
also on todays internet adblockers are part of anyone's security toolbox. because no matter if it is add on youtube or any other big website, there is always a possibility that the add server gets compromised or the add agency is malicious from the start and installs some shit into your computer.
they had a chance back in the early 2000's, but they kept either BLASTING ANNOYING SOUNDS!!! or millions of pop-up windows. so they basically forced users to use adblockers.
so it is too late to start crying about it now, because i'm not going to open my computer for their bitcoin miners or cryptolockers.
