Richard Chappell Dance | Linchpin

Показать описание
Focusing on our mind sets when approaching certain dance forms, Richard Chappell Dance's short film 'Linchpin' splits a performance event into three stages: preparation, performance adrenaline and post performance. With influences of House dance and music, Breakdance, Contemporary dance and BMX Riding, the film explores the mindset which we feel is the same for all of its included art forms and the 'all or nothing' approach needed for them to succeed in the film's circumstances.
Linchpin is RCD's first site specific dance film and an experiment to see how our work changes outside with a change of environement, sloped surface and introduction of other performers as well as dancers. The piece was funded and supported by Dance South West and Dance in Devon.
Choreographer: Richard Chappell
Composer: Simone Donati Ft. Kickass - Bach's Flowers
Videographer: Katherine Collings
Artistic Mentor: Kevin Clifford
Dancers: Faye Tan and Kai Tomioka
Film Editor: Faye Tan
Rehearsal Director: John Brice
