Yasin Malik Life Imprisonment: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday urged the court to give the death penalty to Yasin Malik, a terrorist from Jammu and Kashmir while the latter said that will not beg for anything and left the decision on court.

Pakistan lost the Princely State of Jammu and Kashmir due to its blunders. Maharaja Hari Singh preferred joining Pakistan . He only wanted special privileges for himself / Royalty. But Pakistani leaders showing extreme arrogance did not engage with him. Instead they chose to launch a military ( tribal ) attack on it . Pakistan violated the Standstill Agreement it ha signed with the Maharaja .. Then the Maharaja ( legally )acceded to India. Since then Pakistan has been behaving like a Bad Loser . Pakistan wants Jammu and Kashmir claiming it to be Muslim . But it could not keep a Muslim East Pakistan ( Bangladesh) with it.

India after 1948 was ready to conduct plebiscite... Kashmiris were at that time with India as the presence of Jamat e islami was negligible... Pakistan rejected the plebiscite saying that Sheik Abdullah was turned Kashmiris against us and the important point being the first point of plebiscite was that Pakistan will withdraw it's forces and India will keep minimum required police for law and order purpose ... Pakistan outrightly rejected it. When Jamat e islami got the hold and the wave turned Pakistan started raising Plebiscite slogans even after signing Shimla agreement which made the present LOC between India and Pakistan and prohibited 3rd part mediation. The main problem with India is that kashmir valley is 22% percent of Jammu and Kashmir with a population of 54.5% of the state plus Pakistan occupied Kashmir where no one speaks Kashmiri and majority are punjabi or pahari speaking outsiders... So it is not feasible for India to conduct plebiscite .

Why Kashmir politicians want back Article 370
Under the garb of autonomy Kashmiri Netas treat the State as their personal fiefdom.
Example ;
Wards of Kashmiri politicians get admission to Medical colleges .


Article 370 gave India only a limited say in the affairs of Jammu and Kashmir, including Ladakh, which suited both China and Pakistan .China was always a player in the so called Kashmir dispute overtly only between India and Pakistan. China wanted Ladakh to link up with Pakistan and Shaksgam valley . State Govt of Jammu and Kashmir, including Ladakh, was sympathetic to Pakistan ‘s and ultimately to China ‘s interests, especially, in Ladakh. Example Late Sheikh Abdullah refused to allow His Holiness The Dalai Lama and his followers to settle in Ladakh when they took refuge in India . Ladakh was most suitable for Tibetans both from climate and cultural points of views.
