Sounds like the mother didn’t discipline her but enabled her daughter for years, and now she can’t discipline her since she’s an adult. If it were up to me, I wouldn’t even let her live there and told her to stay wherever she was at until she learns to get her act straight.

You let your kids walk over you as a child, they certainly will as an adult. I hope the mother learns to put her foot down, because the daughter is gonna have a rude awakening if she hasn’t by now.

Whatever the brat did must have been pretty bad since JJ didn't air it in public. I've never seen her walk on eggshells to be careful of bringing up what brought them to court. The defendant said she was afraid of living with them, so I guess that's a bit of a hint.

I got the impression that the brat daughter was not humiliated at all! That is part of the problem when kids make life hell for others and have no conscience.

The defendant was paying half the rent therefore was subsidising Brat's living costs, as there was no mention of her contributing to the household utilities. The plaintiff took advantage of her friend while giving Brat a free ride.

Interesting administrative stuff about the show's lawyer that I haven't heard before. I don't understand why the bratty daughter had to be present, unless it was punishment. ("You will be present for 10 million people to hear about your bad behavior or you are out the door." )

I can't believe this woman took her friend to court. If it had been my daughter causing these problems I wouldn't have worried about any money issues. The defendant had to move out, which would also have cost her!
