In this video I go over the order I think you should play the FromSoftware games in.
More Details Below

A lot of people have their own opinions about the Souls games. And many will probably tell you to play these games in order of release. But I am thinking from a new players perspective and what order you should play the games without getting bored or turned off by some of the pacing of the older games.

Bro just used the Tier ranking system for a "what order to play in" list. I, too, enjoy chaos. Do continue.

Call me crazy. A madman if you will. A psycho.

But the best way to play them is in the order they were released.

My order was BB, ER, DS3, Sekiro, and those 4 games are 10 out of 10. After that I completed DS2 and DS1 little by little, but the combat is what really made me fall in love with those games and those 2 were really hard for me to get through since it is much slower

My order was : ER, DS3, DS1, BB, DS2, Sekiro (still need to get a ps5)

Wouldn’t change it for the world. I have since played most of them I don’t even know how many times

Elden Ring is my new favorite game. I got it a few weeks ago and it has tied with Skyrim for my favorite games of all time. Im watching playthroughs of the other titles to learn more about the game and lore. I know there "not connected" but there's too much that ties in with the other Fromsoft games. Like its a prequel and the endings are what turned into Souls, Bourne and...brain fart but you get what im saying.

I only got into Souls games recently because I remember from right back when Demons souls came out I was thinking, this is just not for me, I love the art design but I work too damn hard and my time is just too important to have it wasted on being killed by a boss a hundred times just to 'git gud'. I am so glad that I ended up giving Bloodborne a try recently and that it was my first Souls game! Its supposedly one of the hardest games but man, its not THAT hard and getting good isnt some huge boring job it just means playing the damn game and learning the moves. As for most of the bosses, I would usually beat them on the second or even first try as long as I kept my attention on my surroundings. That being said, I may have beaten orphan of Kos on my first attempt but two damn shark men down a well or a couple of bloody winter lanterns down a tunnel and I'm there for the next week! 😄

Dark souls 1 first 100% my favorite blind run and actually more forgiving than demons souls lol. If you start with elden ring you will have a hard time going back to the old ones

I played Elden Ring and went through it 4 or 5 times then played Sekiro. Now I am playing Dark SOuls remastered.. I love all these games oh and I played Lies of P between Elden Ring and Sekiro

I really wanted to try elder ring but the lack of even a little bit of hand holdind and no quest log is making me unsure to buying the game.
The fact of not knowing what are my objectives or what to do is very frustrating and it seems boring to follow the guides on the wiki googling everything to even have an idea of anything.

The order I’ve done so far has been pretty solid. I started with Elden Ring, then did Bloodborne which did a great job of showing off the range of FromSoft while still being also fairly polished. From there I went for the DS1 remaster, which is definitely worse graphics and a lot rougher gameplay, but the combo of ER and BB made me appreciate it enough to get through it anyway. Now I’m on to DS2.

I also tried Sekiro a bit after BB, but bounced more due to time constraints than any difficulty issues. I’m thinking I’ll get back to it after I finish the DS trilogy, but I think it’s probably a reasonable follower to BB if you didn’t have too much trouble with the difficulty level of BB.

Honestly glad I went straight to DS1 after Elden Ring. Both DS2 and DS3 were chores to play through, and I get the feeling that had I done those two next instead of Bloodborne or even worse, before DS1, I’d have likely quit on the series and that means missing out on Sekiro, my #1 game of all time.

I wish I never played sekiro first because now that I’m used to that speed the rest makes it hard to dodge/ parry in the rest of the slower paced games. But I wish I can play it for the first time again it was so good

The best part of elden ring is theres always somewhere to go and mini bosses to fight before taking on a more difficult challenge

I think it really depends on how much time a person has available, and how into it they are after the first game (since they can quit at any time). The better games near the top of course (but not in order of best to worst)
Because of that would recommend:
1) Dark souls 3 or Bloodborne
2) Elden ring
3) DS3/bloodborne (whichever they didn't play 1st)
4) Demons souls ps5
5) dark souls remastered
6) sekiro (brutal game for new players, can't farm levels for health points)
7) dark souls 2 (and scholar of the first sin).
Dark souls 2 was really good during the year that the DLC was coming out, because the co-op and PVP were extremely active. It's fallen off a lot as people have left the online game.
I myself played them all in order of original releases, quite a few times.

I love this channel. If I get snappy it’s not you it’s the game and how effortless you make it look. I hated Bloodborne but because of your channel it’s my all time favourite. Thanks!! Did you like Sekiro?
