They do this in several cities for Chinese New Year to avoid pollution from excessive use of fireworks. It looks awesome! They are choreographed to make all sorts of animated 3D shapes in the sky. There was incident though (forgot the city), where the choreographer/programmer forgot that they needed to land as well, so when it was over, they shut off and dropped into the river below 😂😅
