Fighting VS Self-Defense | MDS | Warriors Magazine

Fred Mastro is emphasizing that MDS is NOT a fighting system. He "Doesn't Fight".

Rather, the system is designed for Self-Defense ONLY.

If someone is looking for a fight, he backs away and "Takes his time".

This is critical for new learners of MDS to understand. There is a big difference between fighting and self-defense.

Forcing the opponent to TURN before striking at a vital point is intreresting, since typically the opponent starts with boxing/brawling hand blows. Is this concept developed in other vids? I attempted to go to the Warrior Magazine site, but it is 'insafe'. Do you have a secure link available?

When you fight for fighting you fight with aggression and anger without thinking and lose control.
But in self defense you are more in control and think before you move or strike . Because you prepare yourself to be calm and ready for anything. Now if you don't prepare yourself to be calm and ready for anything and use your head to think before you act you surely will be a victim . Or even in more trouble than the one you are defending yourself from. So what I am saying is when you use aggression and anger you lose sight and control when in a fight.

Wouldn’t a front kick to the body be more practical, safer, faster, create more distance from your attacker and be overall just a better technique idk I saw it in a self defense video that wasn’t selling a self defense program with flashy moves

Essas técnicas só funcionam com pessoas que são leigas...vi um vídeo deste professor levando um pau.
As técnicas dele realmente não funcionam. Se funcionassem ele estava no mma ganhando dinheiro de verdade
