Right as you may be, that doesn't change marketing strategy. It's not in Nintendo's best interests to release a "better" 3ds so soon after its initial release. They want to sell another model along side the current 3ds, giving consumers more options which means more sales overall. Seeing how a second circle pad will not only fuck that up, but is also optional no matter what game you're playing, it's best to treat it as a peripheral for now.

while most people would tell you know, it all depends on if you really want it or not. I saw my first DSI XL about the time the 3DS launched and the screens were phenomenal, everything popped on the screen and games looked fantastic, and i said to myself i want one, but not when the 3ds is right around the corner. Im in the process of looking for my old 3ds (my couch likes to eat it) and going to trade it in towards the purchase of one. so check one out at the store for yourself!

Yes it does. Sony is better with backwards compatible cuz they do two gen. PS3 played PS2 and PS1. PS Vita Plays PSP and PSOne and meybe PS2 in future. 3DS SHOULD Play NDS and GBA

i have to say, I do like how it looks like the DSi XL with the stylus on the side (the fact that it's not telescopic is also a positive) and the SD card slot is below it, but it'll be quite a while until I decide to trade-in my launch day 3DS for one, especially when I need to keep my old charger.

In Germany, GameStop offers a deal where you can get the 3DS XL for half the price if you bring them a 3DS. Maybe they do something similiar where you live!

Because this product is target mostly to the people who already has one instead of the new costumers, it is compatible with the ds charger as well so it would be an increase over the price, if you don't own any you will have to buy it aside.

I think that the price is unreasonable for Australian customers. But, people may still purchase the system for the increased size and some improved specs.
