I am single white female. I have been living in India for almost 4 months now. I am living in Southern India in state called Kerala. There are many foreigners here and Indians. We all live in the same village, for the most part in peace and happiness. I cannot say my experience was anything like hers. For example, I realized I feel safer running outside and exercising here than in USA. I find the Indians here to be mostly friendly and they look out for everyone regardless of nationality. Most are spiritual people, but just like every country, there can be bad apples in the bunch. Be wise and be human. Regards, Jenna

All my fellow Indian friends would've hated it if it were some some other country.
We should accept the bad side and work for betterment.

We are sorry for her experience, but before going anywhere need to study the place and plan your journey accordingly, everything is available online and you can do pre-book as well for hassel free experience. And all the places are not same.Such places are still available around the world as well.

I'm genuinely sad for this girl and feel sad for her.
But I also feel she is foolish.
Don't save money, enjoy life and get a good tourist travel agent

I'm an Indian, it is absolutely true to what she share her experience, we the Indian ourselves has faced this ordeal situation for so many times, most of the the lady's from our northeast India were working in south India, Chenai, bangalore, Gujarat etc as a hotel service and management, restarant and private company etc...by the time, they were brutally raped and impregnate and most of them were brutally killed after being raped, this happen in it is completely dangerous for women and lady's to travel or walk lonely in India

This video is just explaining her cultural shock, India is very large and whole cultural shock will mess you up so please research about the country before visiting India. Choose the foreigner friendly locations while visiting India. I would definitely recommend visiting Goa or Kerala while visiting India for the first time 👍

It is not the case in big cities, she is talking about Mathura where very less people must have seen a foreigner, the taxi drivers in small cities do that, Mathura is also not a tourist spot. If you come to cities like Delhi, Mumbai, etc you can't find this scenario

Yes it's unsafe for women to travel alone in some places in India. But India is not the only country where traveling alone is unsafe. Solo travellers face threats in U.S, Mexico, Pakistan, Egypt, South Africa, Turkey, Ukraine and lot more countries also. These countries are unsafe due to some social problems within. There are very few countries like Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Netherlands etc which are really safe for female travellers. So it's important to familiarise yourself thoroughly with the region before going there. Instead of criticizing we should discuss on the solution.

Yes I agree with her...but it might be happen in any country when we go without a proper plan & idea, conditions. But i can proudly say that India is the mother of world's ancient cultures, traditions and we give our utmost hospitality to visitors (as there was an ancient saying in India was "athidi devo bava" - means guest is God) & when u are willing to visit India just remember that villages are core heart 💓 of India. Visit the villages in India & then come for a conclusion about India.we love you we respect you. Here money is nothing but relations are everything for us.

People here are telling sorry for her, and at the same time telling that she should have a travel guidance, etc..Why you Indian people can't change? Why can't you change your bad mentality...As a Indian girl I'm telling, I've faced a lot more than her...but people here, instead of punishing the criminal, they are blaming the victim, ... don't seek justification for your bad deeds....once again sorry for your experience sister❤️✨

Hi, I have a few points I'd like to get across (I'm an Indian, please don't judge me beforehand) :

First of all I feel ashamed that my girl in the video had to go through that and as a woman myself I do feel unsafe in my own country however it also depends a lot on the area.

The thing is, India is a very diverse country with too many cultures and differences and its really just a huge chaos sometimes. As the previous video itself had so many people not interested in marrying outside their ethnicity due to the differences it's the same thing when it comes to excessive diversity in a country people just don't get along at times. However as much as I agree there are downsides like women security, when it comes to generalising all Indians as not being helpful I would beg to differ. It all depends on person to person.

Every country has bad people and good people. I would definitely suggest never to travel alone and definitely have some Indian acquaintance you can trust with you at all times.

Further, this is for the previous video just a clarification that the caste system died like aeons ago and today's generation of India is just like any other population. Indian society is evolving and its going to take a while but these stereotypes are not helping.

With all due respect to the creator of this video and the girl in the video, there are extreme stereotyping of every race other than white in the white media from people assuming that we shit on streets to people assuming every Indian man is horrible in bed or creepy and desperate or that all Indians can only be a nerd. Such stereotypes are not helpful for any race at all. India is a developing country and yes we need a lot of advancements but stereotyping is unnecessary. When Indians go abroad we often face a lot of issues with these stereotypes from people not talking to us because we're Indians they assume we're not of the same mindset without when talking to us first. That's all cause of a stereotype. People are different everywhere and just because they're brought up differently doesn't mean they cannot relate to each other.
In the end I would like to appreciate the woman for bringing out this issue to light so others can learn from this experience and make better choices. I'm grateful for the creator of this video for spreading further awareness. I would however appreciate if the stereotyping is avoided. :)

Don't worry about offending people, dude.

The girl sounds like she had a bad time. That can't be everyone's experience of India though. I think she was in a place where she was near the wrong sort of individuals and they targeted her for her looks and saw her as a tourist they could easily manipulate.
